The Blue Velvet Cafe is the name for the traveling Tea Room and Maid Cafes that FoxMoon Productions hosts for birthday parties and events in Central USA. We are located in Central Oklahoma, but happily travel from state to state to meet the growing Tea Party/Cafe needs for birthday parties and events.

FoxMoon Productions has been in business since 1999-2000  doing event coordination and  parties. We have hosted small banquets, masquerade balls and both larger and smaller scale events.

We started hosting Princess and Faerie parties years ago when we ran the "Faerie Realm" at a Medieval Fair known as "The King Arthur Faire" that was hosted in Stroud, OK.  This same realm was brought to Tyler, Tx for the Fourwinds Renaissance Festival for several years.

We did not do much in the way of teas after that until we were introduced to the Anime, Cosplay and Japanese Culture Conventions in our area. We were asked to participate at Izumicon in '07 as guest judges and help with the tea, then in '08 we were asked to host our events at the convention. Starting with an Ouran Host Club Tea and a Lolita Tea. Since then we have continued to host the Lolita and various themed teas at many conventions in the area including our own Teas and Events for the fans in the area.

Our Teas generally consist of 3-5 Maids (Servers) or a specified cast serving an array of tea and treats to our guests.

The Maid Cafes generally consist of the 3-5 Maids (Servers) serving a slightly healthier and more substantial array of small foods for the Lunch Time guests.

The Traveling Maid Cafe / Tea Room

Maid Cafes are not just for Asian Cultures anymore. The western civilization has adopted many aspects of this phenomena.

However, Tea Time is an activity that is shared by cultures all around the world though their times may vary from breakfast to mid afternoon or evening time teas. There is no wrong time to have a tea.

In Hong Kong they have Tea Time in Mid-Afternoon, anywhere between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 PM. In the United Kingdom the Tea Time is typically between 3:00 and 5:00PM. High Tea is usually a light dinner after 6:00PM with an optional meal later in the evening.  In America the term "High Tea" is generally looked upon as more of an afternoon tea at around 2:00PM with the word "High" leaning more toward social formality, being proper and in High Standing with social society. In France Tea is at 4:00 usually served with small snacks and is geared toward the children who are returning home from school.

Our Cafe likes to blend a little of each culture for you, serving a wide variety of tea flavors at varied times. We blend a little of the standard Asian styled maid cafe with more modern concepts but old fashioned courtesy.  Imagine, if you will, a Victorian Lady, or Noble, at a Tea Party in the afternoon. The servants, or maids, serving the household guest their treats and tea. That is what we strive to achieve for your benefit and entertainment.
